He can save to the local C: Drive with no issues, we have installed a fresh copy of SW on another PC and still the same issues. He upgraded to SW 2017 and ever since the upgrade when he tries to save to the folder on the server SW crashes and then he loses connection to the mapped drive he then has to log out/in to reconnect to the drive. One of our users was using SW 2016 and saving his work in a folder on the server, (Hyper V VM, Server 2012 R2 Standard) and this was working fine for him with no issues.
